Harajuku Renaissance is a series of two capsule collection plannings inspired by the Harajuku decora subculture in the late 90's and early 00's. The over-the-top styling and heavy accessorizing of Tokio's youth were the base for the two collections.
The first one, being directed to the newest generation of Harajuku youth, who are going to be the ones responsible of reviving what once was the hot-spot of Tokyo's cool kids.
The second one, Kawaii Bijinesu, presents a proposal of masculine tailoring with workplace etiquette that takes inspiration the layering, mix&matching aesthetic and the saturation of accessories of decora's y2k style.
Both collections pay homage to Shoichi Aoki and his groundbreaking work for FRUITS magazine, which  also served as reference for the graphic design of the final presentation.
