MSG (Modular Shapeshifting Garment) is a prototype that presents an idea of futuristic clothing. What will the youth of 2030 wear? How is it that current technologies can be implemented to develop a product that stays afloat in such a disruptive society?
MSG was developed with a series of technologies that accelerate the production process, reducing waste and presenting a wide variety of possibilities for the user. From the design process, where creative code was used to develop the graphic that was subsequently laser cut, a canvas of 90 x 60 cm was created with specific properties such as fluidity and elasticity. These canvases can be transformed into different garments by connecting them with each other, thus completing the MSG phenomenon.
MSG seeks to create a community of users, under an open source domain where they can share the ways in which they use their piece and replicate it; creating an infinite repertoire of possibilities that adapt to the growing need for expression of the new generations.
